Dr Naran graduated with an MBCHB from the University of Pretoria in 2000. After completing her internship and community service she worked in the UK exploring various fields of medicine. She returned to South Africa to train in ophthalmology at WITS, rotating through Johannesburg’s key academic hospitals. She qualified with FCOphth (CMSA) in 2009 then focused on reducing blindness due to cataracts in public healthcare.
She later opened private practices in Lenasia South and Rosebank, and joined the Sandhurst Eye Centre in February 2021.
