What is vision correction treatment?
When to consider laser and phakic implant treatments?
Laser treatments (advanced surface, tomography-guided PRK, femto-LASIK, CLEAR) may be suitable if you have:
- Healthy corneas with adequate thickness
- Fast recovery needs (days for LASIK/CLEAR and weeks for surface)
Phakic implants (STAAR EVO+, IPCL) may be considered if you have:
- Higher myopia
- Thinner/borderline corneas
- Dry eyes or contact lens intolerance
- Need for pristine corneal optics
- Removable, upgradeable vision correction
If your vision is interfering with your daily life, it may be time to speak to one of our specialists.

What to expect on your vision correction treatment journey?
Initial Consultation
Your first visit includes a full dilated eye examination, corneal tomography, wavefront analysis and tear‑film assessment, plus a detailed discussion of your visual needs at work, sport and leisure.
We then explain your options with clear pros and cons of each procedure, expected recovery, risks and pricing so you can make an informed, unhurried decision.
Day of Surgery
Laser procedures are quick, typically taking 10–20 minutes in the theatre. Eye-drop anaesthetic is used and, if needed, a mild oral sedative. Most patients feel only gentle pressure or vibration.
Phakic lens surgery usually takes a similar time, through a tiny corneal incision, and you go home the same day with protective shields and detailed drop instructions.
Aftercare and Recovery
Surface laser patients can expect a few days of grittiness and light sensitivity while the surface heals. Vision then sharpens steadily over the following 1–4 weeks.
Patients undergoing Femto-LASIK, CLEAR or phakic lens procedures usually see well enough to return to work within a few days. Follow-up visits in the first weeks allow us to fine-tune drops, detect dry eye early and confirm stable healing.
Initial Consultation
You’ll meet with one of our specialists who will assess your vision, conduct diagnostic tests, and help you choose the best treatment plan and lens option for your needs.
Day of Surgery
The procedure is quick, performed under local anaesthetic with conscious sedation. The cloudy lens is removed, and a new intraocular lens is implanted. Most surgeries are done as day cases.
Initial Consultation
You’ll return for a check-up the next day, and most people resume light activities within a day or two. We’ll guide you through your recovery and provide everything you need to feel confident post-op.

We offer advanced surface laser (PRK), tomography‑guided PRK, femto‑LASIK, CLEAR lenticular extraction on the Ziemer Z8, and phakic lens implants including STAAR EVO+ and IPCL.
The concept is similar to SMILE, but CLEAR is performed on Ziemer’s Swiss-engineered, OCT-guided platform, allowing highly precise treatment planning and delivery.
Suitability is confirmed through detailed measurements, including anterior chamber depth and endothelial cell health.
